the biggest loser...

That's the name of the show that I have been watching during these past few days. I have watched season one and now season two is airing on the hallmark channel. Watching these contestants on the show made me realize the raw emotions that people have. They have so many inspirational stories, and their determination to lose weight is so great. I have been crying while watching the show, when the contestants had to vote people off, and my weakness is seeing a man cry. I have been very motivated to work out and watch what I eat but I just need that extra push like the contestants, who had trainers to help them out in both the food aspect and the physical aspect. Hiring a trainer is so costly, so yeah. Maybe when my bro is done with his exams I can get him to work out with me again. Hehe.

Not much luck finding a job this week, gotta try harder next week (again).

recession = scary!!!

At this point in time I haven't found a job and I don't intend on giving up finding one either. I have a job site to look for jobs on and when I found any job that I am interested in and clicked on it, I find it very scary. The jobs site allows you to see how many people have applied for the same job and position, and just a few minutes ago, I saw one with 132 applications. Really scary - and proves that the recession is really bad, and there is no bragging about it. I just pray that I just get a job now, while in the midst of such fierce competition. I have a year to find one - and I hope I do get one.

Now I kinda regret not applying for university this year. (sighs)

Final Results In...

I got my final results - not bad for the semester, overall it is bad, not good enough to get into a local university like NUS or NTU. For the whole 6 semesters I only got a GPA of only 2.8. Looks like I would have to try SIM. I still want to have a degree of some sort, as long as it is not related to any multimedia stuff anymore. Now I really don't know what to do with my results. I was trying to aim for a 3.0 but couldn't. Now, I blame that girl who backstabbed me in semester 4. I needed at least an extra 0.5 and I think she ruined it. (sigh) .....

Sense of Fulfilment...

I finished reading "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" by Mitch Albom in just two days, and enjoyed it very much. I cried while reading it and I could relate to parts of the book. I understood the human emotions one could evoke through the book, and looking forward to reading another book by the same author. "Tuesdays with Morrie" which I bought last year during a book fair, so I should probably start on that next. I am trying to get bad at my Chinese and cut down on the Singlish through reading books.

My LOTR series is a huge climb as there are four books and each one of them is quite thick. I loved the movies though, and watched all of them too. I really need some motivation to start reading them and doing some designs for the T-shirt business my poly friends had in mind.

My final poly results will be out on Friday and I am quite anxious about it. I will feel really bad if my team's grade is affected beacause of my incompetence in leading the team well. I need to pray before I log-on and see my results online. I hope for the best though.

P.S: Somebody pray for me!! I am quite scared and anxious for my results. FOR REAL!!!

stuck in my head!

I know the Dragonball Evolution movie is coming out or is out, but the Japanese song from the trailer showing on TV has caught my eye. I looked for it, and found it was by Ayumi Hamasaki, and I thought the song was not bad at all. So I did an illegal thing and got it (I think you guys can more or less guess what I did..DUH), and now I am seriously hooked on it. The song really suited the teaser of the movie, although I share no intention of watching the movie at all. I get really hooked on a song quite easily - if it's Japanese, rock, or a really upbeat song. Try listening to it - I hope you guys like it. I would definitely find the song and link it to the site through my blog. So look out for it!!!

yikes.

Currently I have very bad mood swings. I get lethargic and bored easily, and it must obviously be the effects of staying at home for too long. I am not motivated to do stuff, like exercising and doing sketches and stuff. I just find life BORING, and I am not enjoying any moment of it at all. I don't know what's happening with me or my life.

Today I was supposed to go with Mum to the polyclinic, and when I found out what she was actually going for when she doesn't look at all sick to me, I was dumbfounded. She wanted to see a doctor, get a refer letter to see a skin specialist to improve her hair growth. She has been complaining that her hair looks dry and little, but I think she is reading too much into it, and I was amused at that reason. I didn't accompany her, my legs were aching playing with my friend's brother and from walking so much yesterday. She then asked me if she were sick and whether a not if I would accompany her to the doctor's, I replied a "maybe". Then she said, "now I know". (Like what?!) Of which many occasions I did, like her blood test, her checkups, I have been there more than I can ever count with both my hands. I am unresponsive because of her, and she should be able to tell. I really can't tell what's going on with her.

Ever since she passed her fifties, she has changed, and I suspect it's due to her menopause phases. She gets cranky, and she has mood swings too, like when I have PMS. To date, I have let her know that she has changed, and she looks unconvinced. I don't know what to do with her anymore. I have been quite accommodating to her already, and I don't see why she gets so angry or agitated easily. I should do some research on menopause and give her my own diagnosis, and push some articles into her face.

Emailed my job agent to look out for jobs for me, and he called me saying he would. I didn't hear any news on Friday, so I better pray I get some news on Monday. I need to motivate myself to work-out, and do some sketches and do some planning stuff on my university course to take. I don't want to rot at home anymore!!! Sick of it!!!

Enjoying Life...

I have never been more free than the past few days, so I have been doing stress-free stuff. I just watched Pink Panther 2 yesterday with Yoh, and it was a laugh. I now know how my name sounds with a french accent. Been quite bored at home since I applied for a few jobs and haven't gotten any reply. I just hope I find a job soon. Ever since I moved into my new home, I have a new interest - assembling furniture bought from Ikea. I can handle basic and small size furniture, and I know how to use a screwdriver, which is better than the old me who doesn't know anything. I have been more savvy with furniture nowadays. I helped my Mum assemble two trolleys, and it tallys the total furniture that I assembled in the house to a number of 3, and I am quite proud of my achievement. I like it when I see the whole thing come together.

The next 21 days (the number of days to make or break a habit), I should stop using words that should not come out from my mouth, making me sound really uncouth. I wanna read more books too, especially my LOTR series which I bought a few years ago. Out of four books, I haven't even finish the first one. My-my. I have been using a lot of Singlish, and I should stop speaking Chinese because it was where Singlish was derived from. I wanna sound like a Caucasian speaking Chinese with that slang. HAHA.

Shucks. I have to continue finding a job if I don't get a reply on Monday. Wish me luck - with the worst recession in the past ten years.
