Goodbye 2008! On to 2009!

Time really flies. I just can't believe how fast it really flies.

2008 - my toughest year ever. I won't continue repeating sad stuff from this year again. I made a record this year - moving houses at least 4 times before I got to my very own house. Comic buying has been extensive, with me trying to get the comics that I didn't buy while moving houses. I have tried clubbing and dancing..(the horror!!!) Bagged a lot of goodies from Mum this year - bags, clothes, and other stuff. A sad year for me, and not fulfilling enough, almost felt that my life really turned 360 degress.

Wishes for 2009 - Woohoo!!

1. Help Mum with housework (try at ironing clothes & cooking on that electric cooker)
2. Be a better friend/person to others
3. Read the Bible more
4. Gain more knowledge (really naive & i like learning about stuff..hehe)
5. Seize the day (life is short..too short for me)
6. Get stronger emotionally (i am still a crybaby...now i am not so much of that now. I am also very sensitive and still am)
7. Save/earn more money
8. Really good health (by slimming down....T-T)

Blessed New Year everybody!!

Christmas!

I went to Zouk on Christmas Eve, drank bourbon coke and gin and tonic. I had the whole of Christmas spent sleeping in bed due to a hangover. FEEL'IN SICK...URGH. I am quite wide awake now - and I don't think I can sleep that early. At Zouk, met two three guys from NUS - kinda forgot their names and I danced like a guy - AGAIN. Almost puked yesterday, because my friends and I stood near the speakers on the dance floor, and the entire time, my heart was thumping to the sound of the music, and I had a deafness in my left ear. I reached home about 1:45 going to 2 pm.We managed to get a seat this time as compared to last time - and I have to say, I still like pubbing than clubbing. What a way to spent Christmas Eve, and what a sad way to celebrate Christmas day, but enjoyed it though. I have rested enough - and I had better get on with my project. I am sincerely lagging behind on it!!

stress levels way too high!

My project is giving me high stress levels, and probably low blood pressure (been kinda lazy to work on it as I am in the holiday mood...). I have been playing my DS for the past few days, and I am slacking. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!! I have to work hard and play less now, if not my grades for this semester would really go down. DARN IT - I hate myself for having such a short attention span, and the fact that I can't do anything related to school work while I am at home. If I could go to school everyday I would - that is to work on my project.

I have so much to do, and I guess I can't spend the festives properly. I really hope I can motivate myself to get some work done.

GEEZ.

bolt!!!

Bolt was fun to watch!! The animals in the show were cute, especially that hamster who has this evil laughter that can be seen in the entire movie..and I can imitate it. (watch out YOH!! Muahahaha!!!!) I have always been a sucker for animation, not to mention Disney movies!! Storyline was so fun, and very unpredictable - I must say. I can't believe John Travolta played the voice of Bolt, and Miley Cyrus' voice was quite low. However, nontheless fun to watch still!! I even got a collectible to bring home - a plastic mug with the movie's picture on it!! That was the main highlight of the day!!! Woooh- hooo!!!

Second highlight of the day: Mum almost fainted at a MRT station due to low blood pressure. I was so shocked when she called me around nine this morning, and I was awake. She saw a doctor, and she is like taking her blood pressure every 30 mins. Luckily she is fine now, and I gotta pray for her. Tomorrow I'm going out again, and I am afraid to leave her alone on the way to meet my bro and his girlfriend. Hope she does feel better tomorrow.

Toodles! Got some reports to do. OH BOTHER....

Girl Gone Wild!

I came back home about 4am today, and slept for five hours. Here's what happened last night. I met up with my secondary school friends, and we went to have dinner first. Then we walked around the mall for a while and we went clubbing at st. james power station. I didn't like the environment, the music was loud and my heart was thumping to the beat of the music. After we had our first drink, we headed to the dance floor, and it was cramped with people. I didn't know how to shake, and I danced like a guy. I didn't like it, and I'd rather go to a pub. After my second drink, I left the place, and it was about 1am at that time. I was supposed to drive one of my friends home first, but my friend Mad and her boyfriend wanted to watch football, so I didn't manage to get her home. So off we went to watch football. At the start of the game, I was a little hesitant to watch, but when it got to the part whereby Manchester United were trying to score goals, the mood was rowdy and nice to be in, and made the game nicer to watch. I also drank my first beer and it was nasty - very bitter. It was that the team score a goal, that I was fired up. I was so tired after I came back home, so I just brushed my teeth, changed my clothes and went to sleep at 4am.

It was quite an experience, my first time at a club and dancing, my first beer, and my first football match. Now that I had my fun, it's time to do some work on my project. XD

Good Smaritan Spotted!!

On the way back home on the bus, I noticed a man who is visually handicapped sitting on the front end of the bus. When the bus reached the interchange, there was this man in uniform (very much like an army uniform), came towards this man, and helped him get off the bus. He was so sweet because he not only helped the visually handicapped man off the bus, he also brought him to where he should queue for the next bus that he was supposed to take. That was so sweet of that guy, so I thought I should blog about him.

This was the sweetest and happiest thing I have ever seen! I really admired this guy for a wee bit, because he reached out to this man. The man looked like he didn't need help, and this man in uniform went all out to help him. SWEET!! I salute you - man in white uniform!!

Urgh...

The past few days while I waited at the interchange for the shuttle bus to get to school, I am grossed out by some middle-aged or elderly people spitting into the dustbin, which is happening right in front of me. These people just spit into the dustbin, and seeing them lean on, and attempting to spit from the top of the bin through the cigarette opening, is just GROSS!!! I just can't stand it anymore, and I pity the cleaner who cleans out the bin.

They should really impose a law on the prohibition of spitting into public dustbins, and also the urinating in public places (which I saw a Malay man do a few weeks ago near a bus stop while I was in the bus) Don't these people have any idea of hygiene? Do they think that others are not looking on at them and see what they are doing?

I am seriously and utterly disgusted for real...URGH!!!
