i guess it went well...

Being a leader is hard, and now I am beginning to know how hard it is. I find it very hard to motivate the group, and I feel that sometimes when I talk to them and they don't respond back, I feel like I am talking to the wall or the air around me. Haha...I do get that feeling quite often when I am with my secondary school friends. Now I am currently stuck at planning the schedule for the team to accomplish for each week, which is a obstacle for me as I can't really predict or plan stuff that well. Geez. However, I like the fact that my team members also help to engage the group, and I feel quite lucky that I have these peeps as my team mates. Back to planning a better schedule and hope for a better week ahead.

P.S: I am trying my best to avoid paying the money for the graduation showcase, and I know many students from my cohord are trying to avoid it too. XD hehe...

i'm a loser.

I personally feel that I am quite the failure. Today my team mates voted me to be the leader of the group. I can't even express myself well, let alone be a leader. However, maybe I should take the chance and step up for the position. I have to really work hard on this one - from organizing, passing things to people to do and to be more sensitive to and about people. I find that I am quite the boring person and indeed I'm more of an introvert, and this could be indeed be a challenge. I'm not firm with my words, which is another flaw... I'd better pray to God to guide me in this project, and I really need all the help I can get.

P.S: I'm really a dimwit.

horror!

School reopens today, and the mood was well, the same as I always have when I went to work for the last couple of weeks - tiring and not interested in anything. When I sat down comfortably in my seat, that loudhailer came walking in and after a few moments, she started talking loudly and I was annoyed and infuriated in the morning already. When we had to be debriefed by a lecturer, this one heck of a blabbermouth started talking, and she was right behind me. She was talking about marriage and buying a house with her boyfriend and stuff, and I was thinking how stupid she is to settle down so quick and how this whole marriage thing will ruin her education. Even after the debriefing, she was still talking away, and that really killed my mood. There are definitely a lot of crazy people in my course and I just hate them - like the guy (sea lion) who flaps his slippers so hard that it is irritating. Back in class, even when I am listening to the rock songs on my laptop, I could still hear that blabbermouth talking so loud.

That sperm-head team member came in smiling and honestly I didn't care a hoot about him, and this school semester he has to repeat two modules and this will obviously drag the group down in terms of the programming aspect. The lecturer in charge of my group told us that we should treat him like a handicapped member, and give him the same amount of workload like before but "discounted". What the hell! I would think that this stupid sperm-head brought it on himself to repeat two modules. Throughout the entire day, it was sheer horror to even make it to the end of the day. I really hope I survive this one.

I am also desperate, and I need to get a reason for not doing that demo reel stuff. I have to juggle programming and the project basically and financially I can't afford to pay for the fee that goes to pay for that event . I need to avoid doing that demo reel at all cost as there is no time to do it, and I need to convince Joy (one of the organizers) to let me bail out of this one.

Today was one hell of a SHIT-FUL day.

finally!

Today was the end of the contract for my work at the CPF branch near my home. My colleague persuaded me to wear a skirt the night before, and decided to wear skirts to work today - to leave a lasting impression. I borrowed one of my mum's skirts of course, as I couldn't fit into any of my old ones anymore. It was long, beyond my knees and black in color. I haven't worn a skirt in such a long time, since the time I celebrated my birthday in 2007, right up till today, if I can still remember that is. Felt pretty funny wearing one since so long, and I definitely felt kind of awkward. My contract finished with a fellow colleague that I have known for the past two months, and we bought sweets for our customer service section. My officers were so nice to talk to, like friends, and I would definitely miss some of them. Some of the temp staff from the customer service section were so fun to be with, to joke with them, and talking to them. I will definitely miss the workplace and the people of course, and now I feel kinda sad, and I really got used to the place and the people real quick during this two months. A good job experience I must say. I hugged some of the female temp staffs and got their contacts, and took some pictures. I left the place almost in tears. Haha..I'm quite an emotional person.

After leaving the building, my colleague and I, along with a crazy and wacky colleague of us went for lunch at a sushi place, and it was fun to hang out with them for lunch. We talked about meeting up long with the rest for recreational activities when we have the time, and I can't wait for that. Haha. Later in the afternoon, my colleague and I (with the crazy and wacky one going home), we went to submit our timesheets for our final pay and I came back home after that. Good day today, and no more having to dread of going to work everyday now. The getting-up-early-in-the-morning routine is good, and will prepare me to wake up early for school come monday.

Finally back to school!! I would have to focus on my project and run this final lap of my years in poly and graduate with a fine diploma!!! All the way!!! CHIONG AH!!

last day of work...

Which will be tomorrow, that is. This vacation job taught me to:

1. think about others (when I couldn't take leave and implicate others of having a shorter lunch break)

2. to control my anger (when there were customers who just want to dig more information out of you and that they will not stop talking at all)

3. and how to treat people better (by smiling while serving them...i guess)

4. make friends with the opposite sex better

5. open up myself to others better

Guess that this job definitely taught me a lot of stuff besides these - maybe about things related to CPF. Haha XD. I am kinda glad I got this vacation job, besides getting extra money that is. Heh. I hope that I will learn more of how to interact with others better because I am quite a shy person actually, but now, I could say I am not that shy anymore.

Took half day tomorrow and I hope that my officers will not torture me by putting me at the singpass counter for 4 hours with the human traffic coming in non-stop. I will definitely miss my officers, especially the three officers who were in charge of the temporary staff, and probably my co-workers. Hahaha....BUT I am looking forward to go back to school too! Although the stress is back but I rather study than work now...Overall obtained great experience from this job and I am hoping to get another job for more of such life experiences to learn from !

just great.

This morning when I had breakfast, I drank the japanese milk tea and two balls of lemon marshmallows that I bought yesterday when I hung out with my friends. After I took a shower to go out for lunch with my mum, my brother and his girlfriend, my face and neck started to itch. My mum questioned me about what I ate for the breakfast, and realized it could be the milk tea or the marshmallows. My face and neck turned so red from the itching and my face was practically burning, and it was so darn itchy. I had to stop myself from scratching and by the time my mum and I met my brother and his girlfriend for lunch, my face and neck was still red. Looks like I'm either allergic to milk tea, marshmallows, or both the items were such a seismic combo of pain and itch when eaten together. I thought with my rash I could skip work tomorrow - but nah, didn't get the chance, and on the other hand, I need the money as this was the last paycheck I'm gonna get before I get back to school. Oh well.....now the rash is still itching me although the redness has subsided. Ought to put some calamine lotion to stop the itch before I sleep tonight, and I hope it gets better by the morning.

great day today.

Work in the morning went okay, until my colleague had to take a very long toilet break and I had to do singpass for one hour, which I thought I would never do today. After that I came back home after work, I made cup noodles for lunch and zoomed out of the house. I was supposed to meet my poly friends at 2:30pm, but I was like 30 minutes late. At first my friends told me to meet them at the movie threatre, so I went to the one which was one the 4th floor of the shopping mall. I waited a while for them to come, but they didn't, so I figured that they would be waiting at the box office which was on the first floor. When I went down to the first floor, I saw them, and I was thinking that I am such a bummer. Today I went lunch with my poly friends and I managed to meet one of them which I haven't seen since the schoo vacation started and we had lunch first. Then, the four of us walked through a buzzling and squeezy shopping arcade, and I was lucky to get out of it alive and not so sweaty as compared to last time, plus I was wearing a black shirt. After that one of my friends went to meet her boyfriend, and the remaning three of us went to watch the movie "The House Bunny". The show was fun to watch, from the interesting plot, the thought provoking messages throughout the whole movie, and some of the songs included in the movie were kinda cool to listen too. To sum it up, today was a great day, and I really hope to meet and hang out with my poly friends before school starts again soon.
